Scarey Racing Team

Yesterday Scarey Racing Team hit the track for the Gerry Prosser Memorial Plate, the first round for 2024. This year we enter the race season with a new race driver, new motor and finally a new livery for the CDVee.

With both boys taking to the track Brett took a well earned rest this round after 30 years on track, and Michelle was grateful for the pit lane support.

Isaac had a fantastic start to the day, kept on the pace of Callum and Bruce, however unfortunately his rookie meeting was cut short when one of the best motors we had decided it run its last lap (no fault of Isaac).

Jonny had trouble even lining up in pit lane with a $5 starter switch breaking and then later problem with fuel lines. Quick trip to Repco for new switches and wiring and he was back on the track for Race two, starting back of grid he was able to get some track time and was just happy to finish the day, even with gearbox problems.

We should have known it wasn’t going to be our day when we turned up and couldn’t get ‘Black Betty’ started and had to push her out the garage and then Michelle was left with a bruised and swollen foot after a simple garage incident.

We will endeavour to return stronger then ever though and look forward to having both cars running and back on the track

Big thanks to our long running sponsors who support us no matter what the race day brings

All the best for next time. The experience is still priceless.

Tough weekend for Scarey Racing.

Certainly a tough day for JoJo and Isaac but as always SRT will come back swinging

We’ve been so busy we didn’t realise the time, the clock is ticking and now the countdown is on with only 12 days to go

As another year begins things are always changing within the Scarey Racing Team garage and finally preparations for the first race meeting begin today.

Well that brings the 2023 season to a close. This year has seen us as a team tackle anything and everything, and it’s been one of the hardest we’ve had to endure as a family, and we can’t thank our Formula Vee extended family enough for their support in all the challenges we faced.

2023 saw Jonathan take the wheel for the first time after growing up spending weekends trackside. Although it took the first three meetings and two motors he has done nothing but impress and prove his ability to have a place on the grid and I’m sure we will continue to see bigger and better things in the coming years. Big thanks to all that helped him in his rookie year. Well done Jonny

Brett once again had an extremely successful year, and after 30+ years of racing was forced to be reminded of the dangers of Motorsport, after the round six accident saw him spending time in the trauma unit at Royal Perth and the car looking mechanically and physically a little worse for wear. However with a few rolls of gaffa tape holding the car together, and a couple of Panadol later Brett continued the final rounds to finish the season in true racing form.

Simon also had a year of mechanical issues but his love for the sport shone through, with hours of development and improvements happening at all hours. Simon is well respected and has been invaluable to Scarey Racing team this year as well as also offering his mechanical knowledge to other club members.

Congratulations Scarey Racing Team. Jonny mature beyond his years, Brett with a bucket load of trophies, and Simon is an absolute gentleman of the sport. Looking forward to seeing you all soon 😁🏁

Well Done Team !! Big effort.

Well done everyone. You guys did well.

Thanks to Brett, Jonathan and Simon for providing us with great racing ever race day. Isaac yes I have to agree you are a legend in the pit. May mean you won’t be able to show your skills on the track as no more pit crew to follow. Lastly Michelle the unsung hero who seems to do everything besides race. Thank you all for giving us such great days entertainment .

big thanks to myself for being the best pit crew manager, from turning the cameras on and off to installing all the mufflers to the cars. you guys are so lucky to have me on your team!! Well done team🎉

Well done
